  • At a Meetup, anyone can show up. At Throwback Dating, everyone has been personally reviewed and approved before they ever attend an event.

    We curate our community with active, open-hearted singles who are genuinely ready to meet someone — not just looking for something to do on a Saturday night. The result is a room full of people you actually want to know. We've heard this directly from our members, over and over.

  • On the apps, you spend hours swiping, texting, and building something up — only to meet in person and realize there's nothing there.

    At Throwback Dating, the first impression happens in real life. At a cooking class, a concert, a pickleball game. You're not performing for a profile — you're just living your life alongside people who are doing the same thing. And everyone in the room has already been vetted, so you can relax and actually enjoy yourself.

  • Most of our events have an age range listed. This allows us to create a more intentional experience for everyone who attends. Our community is primarily singles in their 50s and 60s.

  • We offer three ways to be part of the community, depending on where you are in your journey:

    Basic Membership — Apply to join and pay only for the events you attend. A great way to dip your toe in with no commitment.

    The Inner Circle — $27/month — Access our private online community, connect with members between events, and join our monthly Throwback Daters Lounge virtual gathering. Cancel anytime.

    The Concierge Experience — $4,997/year — Our most personal offering. Megan curates monthly introductions for you, walks alongside you as your personal dating concierge, and includes three in-person events, monthly virtual events, and monthly masterclasses with expert guides. For the person who is serious about finding their companion and wants a true partner in the process.

  • Absolutely. When you join the community you'll have the opportunity to share your dietary preferences. We take note of these when planning events that involve food and drinks so you always feel comfortable and included.

  • We'd love to meet them! Just have them complete our application first before attending. Our community is curated, so every new member goes through the same process — it's what makes the experience so good for everyone.

  • It's simple and straightforward:

    1. Complete our short application — it takes about 1 minute

    2. We review your application personally and reach out within 48 hours

    3. If it's a good fit, you'll be invited to schedule a Chemistry Call with Megan or fill out a Compatibility Questionnaire.

    4. Choose your membership and register for your first event

  • Our in-person events are based in the Chicago area, but our community extends beyond the city. The Community Membership and Concierge Experience both include virtual events and online community access — so wherever you are, you can be part of Throwback Dating. Members outside Chicago are also eligible for curated introductions through the Concierge Experience.

  • That's the whole point — and we celebrate it. If you meet your companion through the Throwback Dating community before your year is complete, you're still welcome to attend our social events together. Your success story becomes part of what makes this community so special and inspires others to stay open to love. ❤️

  • Yes. Concierge Members may freeze their membership for up to 3 months with no additional fees. Life happens…we get it.

step 2 — COMPLETE YOUR COMPATIBILITY SNAPSHOT

Once approved, you'll complete your Compatibility Snapshot... a short set of questions built from over 700 interviews with singles in your exact chapter of life. This is how Megan gets to know what matters to you and starts building your profile for genuine matches.

step 3 —

After completing your Compatibility Snapshot, choose the membership that fits where you are right now — from Basic Membership, to the Inner Circle, all the way to our full Concierge Experience, where Megan personally curates your introductions and walks alongside you every step of the way.

Register for your first event, connect with members in the community, and let things unfold naturally. That's the throwback way.
